We are pleased to announce a series of webinars organised by eq system on APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) systems.
The first webinar entitled “Why is an ERP system not suitable for production planning?” took place on 19 June 2024. The event, hosted by eq system expert Tomasz Babiarz, was very popular among clients. The high engagement in the topic of production planning in the APS system and the great activity of the participants in the chat show that there is a need to increase awareness of the ERP systems’ limitations in the field of production planning. We also see that production managers are keen to expand their knowledge of advanced production planning and scheduling systems.
During the webinar, Tomasz Babiarz reviewed the key differences between ERP and APS systems, highlighting that ERP systems, while excellent for managing company resources, have their limitations when it comes to optimal production planning and scheduling. He pointed out practical examples where the use of APS has contributed to significant optimisation of production processes. We would like to invite everyone to the next APS production planning webinar entitled “How to choose a good APS system?”. The webinar will take place on 24 July 2024 and will offer practical tips on how to choose the right APS system to best meet your company’s specific needs. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend. During the webinar, Tomasz Babiarz will discuss the key functionalities and criteria for choosing an APS system, including how to combine demand and supply, parameters that reflect the actual production process, scheduling methods and the creation of scenarios. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and exchange experiences with other industry professionals.
